Atmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana provides employment opportunities to all eligible citizens of the country. This self-reliant Employment Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) reduces the financial burden of employers. So this will encourage the employees to hire more workers for their industries and companies.
This Scheme works in favour of both Employer and employee to facilitate them by reducing the financial burden and providing employment to the citizens.
With this Scheme, the government will credit employees’ and employers’ shares equally. Here, the party’s shares (12% of wages) will be credited based on the employment strength of EPFO-registered organizations.
Similarly, in the Atmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana, benefits will be provided to every registered employee earning wages below Rs 15000 per month registered with EPFO. This Scheme is only for those who lost their jobs due to COVID-19 between 2020 February 1 to 2020 September 30, 2020.

Pradhanmantri Atmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana provides employment opportunities to the organized sectors by the government. Under this Scheme, the government will pay all citizens registered in new institutions with a one-year income of fewer than 15 thousand rupees. Similarly, the government should pay citizens who have never been registered before in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO).
- The government will provide a subsidy for two years for new employees.
- It will provide the employee’s contribution of 12% and the Employer’s contribution of 12%.
- Under Atmanirbar Bharat Rozgar Yojana, unemployed citizens caused by COVID-19 will get employment opportunities to contribute to their families.

To be the beneficiary of this Scheme, both the employee and Employer should meet specific criteria. Here’s the beneficiary (new employees) under this Scheme, An employee with a monthly wage of less than Rs 15000 who’s not previously worked in EPFO-registered industries.
Any EPFO members already allotted with UAN and made a job exit from March 1 2020 to September 31, 2020.
Eligibility Criteria for Atmanribhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana 2023
To be eligible for this Scheme, the establishments registered with EFPO must meet the following criteria.
- Minimum of 2 new employees with a reference base of 50 or less.
- Minimum of 5 new employees for an employee with a reference base of more than 50.

For Employer
- First, visit the official website of epfo. Here you need to land on the home page of this website.
- From the options, click on Services>For Employers. It will open the online registration dashboard on your screen.
- From there, tap/click on Online Registration. This will open a new page on your screen.
- Tap on the Sign-Up button given there.
- Now fill up the information asked there. You must fill out your name, email, mobile number, etc.
- After filling in all the information in the Sign up with Shram Suvidha Portal, you need to verify the captcha.
- Just enter the captcha and tap on Sign Up.
For Employee
- At first, the official website of epfo. From there, you need to click on Services>For Employees. After clicking, it opens a new window on your screen.
- Under the registration, you need to fill out the details asked there.
- After filling out all the information, you need to submit it.
- Tap/click on Submit.
- Finally Done.
